it's just generally foolish to try to make a decades old computer do modern stuff. Ive tried every solution Ive been able to find. My machine is hanging at the gray/white apple logo and spinning gear screen. I don't try to do anything "modern" with it. Powerbook G4, 128mb RAM, Leopard 10.5.5 (I think), agnostic, etc. I also like to use it as an iTunes player, I have several "airplay" speakers around the house and I can synchro-play to all of them. I use mine a lot for some old music programs that were meant to run on this hardware. With all that said, it's very usable for anything that is period correct, so it all depends on what you wanna do with it. this is why sometimes I prefer downloading something via a browser. USB on it is slow as fuck too, so file transferring will take you forever.

Either have a battery that isn't completely ancient, or don't have a battery at all. If you intend to use it only when plugged in, I would still recommend at least removing the battery completely because batteries that old can start to swell, which can ruin the computer or even be a fire hazard.
